What happens if my child doesn’t reach their goal?

There’s never an obligation to fundraise. Your child will still receive rewards if they have reached a reward level, regardless of whether they reached the goal they selected for themselves. If they surpass their goal, they will receive the rewards for whatever level they reach.

How do I change the animal I selected?

You can only have one active animal campaign under your account at a time. You aren’t able to change your animal yourself until your current animal campaign is finished. If you need to change the animal selection for your account, please contact us.

How long do I have to fundraise and what if I need more time?

When your child registers for their campaign, they are given 4 weeks (30 days) to complete their campaign. We need to put a time-limit on the campaigns in order to process the rewards. We have tried to choose a time-frame that works best for most kids.

If your child needs more time with their campaign, that’s not a problem at all – we can extend it for them! Please contact us with the email address the account is setup under, and how much longer you’d like for the campaign.

How much of the actual donations go to the protection of the animals and how much goes to administration? Is there a breakdown that is available to the public?

We are happy to share how the funds raised through our Bring Back the Wild program are used.

To provide some background about Bring Back the Wild, this program is not only an online fundraising initiative for endangered animals, but also an in-school program that teaches students about the importance of protecting animals and preserving the environment.

  • We are proud to say that $0 from funds raised through the Bring Back the Wild program go to overhead, administration or marketing.
  • 50% of the funds raised support research and the protection and stewardship of animal habitats in Canada.
  • 50% supports our education program (animal care, training and education programming) enabling us to bring our program, including live animal presentations and curriculum resources, to schools across the country free of charge.

How do online rewards work?

As a special thank you for all your hard work protecting animals, Earth Rangers offers super cool rewards! In short, whenever you reach certain fundraising milestones, you'll earn more rewards.

  • Children choose an animal they'd like to protect and set up an online fundraising "campaign".
  • All campaigns are 4 weeks long (but they can be extended by emailing our support team).
  • For the duration of the campaign, children fundraise to achieve their fundraising goal (goals can be changed at any time).

Here are the reward milestones. Remember, for each level reached you'll earn the new reward PLUS all the previous rewards:

$35 - 4 buttons
$75 - Cinch bag and bracelet
$150 - 1 of 4 Bring Back the Wild plushies
$300 - Official Earth Ranger t-shirt
$500 - Custom trophy with your name

  • To see which rewards are currently available, and what your child has earned, be sure to check out our Bring Back the Wild™ page.
  • When the campaign is over, Earth Rangers will send an email to the parent of the child. That email will point parents to a form, where they can fill out or confirm their mailing address, shirt or sweater size, etc. That's why it's really important that the parent's email address is correct when signing up!
  • After the parent fills out the form, our team here at the Earth Rangers Centre is notified, and we send out your online rewards package.

It takes about 4-8 weeks for delivery - but it's often sooner!
