Some dragonflies prefer ponds, others prefer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/wildwire\/?p=2374\">lakes<\/a>, some dragonflies require slow-moving streams, others prefer fast-moving streams, and yet others prefer marshes. Ontario is also home to one of the world\u2019s most rare dragonflies, <em>Hine\u2019s Emerald dragonfly<\/em>. Dragonflies are also our friends because they eat small winged <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/wildwire\/?p=3573\">insects<\/a> as a main staple of their diet, so there are fewer mosquitoes because of them.
