I like coming here because there\u2019s always leftover food. If I\u2019m careful, I can find something good to eat. Yes, some of your food can cause tummy troubles for a chipmunk like me. But the biggest problem is plastic!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Leaving trash after a picnic is bad. Worse is letting any of the Single-Use Plastic Gang escape and hurt animals and the environment! These plastics are hard to recycle and they contribute to climate change. They can also injure animals like me or make us sick.<\/p>\n\n\n

Who are they?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Four members of the Single-Use Plastic Gang like to join you during your picnics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Aquatron<\/strong> is a plastic soft drink or water bottle<\/li>
  • Baron Von Cuppington<\/strong> is a plastic drink cup<\/li>
  • The Picnic Gang<\/strong> are plastic cutlery that help you eat<\/li>
  • Plastosaurus<\/strong> is a single-use takeout container that carries food that you bought<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    What can you do to help?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Defeat single-use plastics by replacing them with eco-friendly, reusable picnic dishes.<\/p>\n\n\n

    What better time to start than now, during Plastic Free July?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bring your own reusable bottle and drink cup<\/strong>, and say bye-bye to Aquatron and Baron Von Cuppington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use metal or reusable cutlery<\/strong>, and the Picnic Gang can\u2019t get near you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Bring your food in a reusable container<\/strong>, and Plastosaurus can roar but it can\u2019t leave plastic behind anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
