Calling all Earth Rangers! A little change can make a BIG difference \u2013 are you ready to take action?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

November 7th is a very special day: it\u2019s Maple Leaf Foods\u2019 third annual Little Changes Day<\/strong>! This day challenges Canadians to make small changes in their life that help protect the planet. Created to celebrate Maple Leaf Foods\u2019 carbon neutral anniversary and recognize their achievement as the world\u2019s first major carbon-neutral food company, this day reminds us to think of ways to reduce food waste, save energy, and limit unnecessary packaging to make a difference! After all, if we work together, little changes can have a big impact on the environment for future generation.<\/p>\n\n\n

Earth Rangers LOVE celebrating Little Changes Day. The first time we participated, we took on the \u2018All Taste, No Waste\u2019 Challenge to reduce food waste. This year we\u2019re excited to celebrate with something NEW: The Future Farmer Mission<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Changes Day highlights the small changes we can make in our daily habits that make a difference and gets us thinking about the impact of collective action. One example is the importance of reducing food waste, including on Canadian farms, where regenerative agriculture helps keep our soil healthy. The Future Farmer Mission invites YOU to grow your own vegetable or herb garden at home that nourishes both you and<\/em> the earth, and saves from buying new at the grocery store! Plus, you\u2019re putting into practice what farmers are doing all over the country!<\/p>\n\n\n

To celebrate Little Changes Day, we\u2019ve launched a special Creative Corner that shows you how to grow your own greens!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growing greens from scraps is a fun way to start growing your own food indoors. Plus, it\u2019s a great way to add to what you\u2019re already growing in the Future Farmer Mission. All you need is a lettuce core or some herb stems and a container with water to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Grow Your Own Greens<\/a> <\/strong>creative corner is the perfect way to take on the Little Changes Day Challenge.
