Since the start of this project, our team has been working hard to protect important habitats like forests, wetlands, and shorelines. These are the places animals need to find food, raise their young, and stay safe!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/EN\/CA\/wp-content\/uploads\/snowy-owl-featured-image.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-603218\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/EN\/CA\/wp-content\/uploads\/familytreeyt-3-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-612592\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/EN\/CA\/wp-content\/uploads\/river-otter-mobile-banner-min.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-603049\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>So far,&nbsp;we\u2019ve&nbsp;helped protect&nbsp;nearly&nbsp;1,000&nbsp;acres&nbsp;of land across Ontario,&nbsp;which is&nbsp;about the size of&nbsp;1,000 football&nbsp;fields! Some of these areas are right next to protected spaces&nbsp;that already exist&nbsp;like Algonquin Provincial Park and French River Provincial Park. This&nbsp;helps create&nbsp;even&nbsp;bigger, safer homes for wildlife.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why does this matter?&nbsp;Well, animals&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;stay in just one place&nbsp;\u2013 they&nbsp;have to&nbsp;move around to find what they need!&nbsp;By connecting protected areas,&nbsp;we\u2019re&nbsp;creating&nbsp;pathways called&nbsp;wildlife&nbsp;corridors&nbsp;so animals like owls, foxes, and otters can safely travel between habitats.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.earthrangers.com\/EN\/CA\/wp-content\/uploads\/GettyImages-836548818-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-612593\" style=\"width:522px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Algonquin Park, where our team is working to connect natural habitats! <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Every piece of land we protect helps build a stronger&nbsp;and&nbsp;healthier environment&nbsp;for wildlife and for people too.&nbsp;Thanks for being part of&nbsp;our&nbsp;mission to protect nature,&nbsp;one habitat at a time!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Want to help protect animals like the Snowy Owl, Red Fox, and River Otter?
