Hey Earth Ranger! Have you heard of the Food Waste Warrior Cooking Contest? Help stop food waste by turning your leftovers into a new meal and you could win!

For a limited time, when you accept the Food Waste Warrior Mission and enter the cooking contest, you have a chance to win the Mini Chef Prize Pack, which includes all sorts of cool animal-themed kitchen tools and gadgets. Four secondary prizes will also be given away.

Here’s how to enter:

Accept the Food Waste Warrior Mission and transform your leftovers into a new meal. Take a picture or video of you with the meal you cooked and submit it along with a brief explanation of your meal, including the awesome name you gave it and the ingredients you used to make it.
Make sure you have permission from your parent or guardian before you enter the contest.

Here’s who’ll be judging your submissions:

Your submission will first be reviewed by an awesome team of Earth Rangers (us!). Then we will send the list of finalists over to Prince Edward Island to be reviewed by one of Canada’s best-known chefs: Chef Michael Smith

Chef Michael Smith is a passionate advocate for simple, sustainable home cooking and an inspiration for families creating their own healthy food lifestyle. He’s the host of Chef Michael’s Kitchen, Chef at Home and Chef Abroad seen on Food Network Canada and in more than 100 other countries. He’s a judge on Chopped Canada and has traveled the world for his innovative web series Lentil Hunter. He has also written ten cookbooks!

The contest is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated. Stay tuned to find out the winners!
