More than 80% of the world’s liquid freshwater is found in the boreal forest!

The boreal forest isn’t just an amazing water storehouse, it also holds onto a ton of carbon. More than 208 billion tonnes of carbon are stored in the trees, soil and water that lives in the Canadian Boreal forest – that’s about 26 years’ worth of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions!
