Climate change impacts every living thing on the planet. Let’s take a look at some animal examples:
One of the people studying the effects of climate change on animals is Michael Peers, PhD Candidate from the University of Alberta. He is up in the Kluane region of the Yukon studying snowshoe hares to figure out how they can adapt to changes in their environment. Emma sat down with him for a Conservation Conversation.
Michael taught us all sorts of things about snowshoe hares and their environment. For example, he taught us one of difference between rabbits and hares. Do you think you know the answer? Listen to this clip to see if you’re right!
This year, Earth Rangers is helping to protect snowshoe hares. Click here to learn more about our conservation project and find out how you can help!
ARGH! I can’t believe we didn’t get to test The Device this week. We were soooo close! I really want to know if we can give animals a voice, because that would make it so much easier to understand and help protect them. I promise I’ll do my very best to try again next week, but I’ll need your help! Keep sending in your impressions of animals. We need all the juice we can get!
As a reminder, you can use the voice recorder on your phone and ask your parents to email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or click on the button right under this sentence.
