Build a rain barrel to help conserve water and adapt to climate change! Your Mission:

Mission Objective:

The effects of climate change will vary depending on where you live in Canada but overall, we can expect to see more heavy downpours in the future. The great news is, you can collect all that water and then use it for watering your garden or indoor plants. Become an H2O Harvester by building a rain barrel to help conserve water and adapt to climate change!

To complete this Mission, kids will…

  • Read through this Mission Brief to learn about climate change and how we can adapt to the changing environmental conditions
  • Test your water conservation knowledge by completing the Water Wise quiz
  • Build a rain barrel and use the collected water for your plants
  • When you’re done, open the Mission in the app and let us know how you did. Don’t forget to share a picture of you doing the Mission!

Mission Items:

When members accept this Mission, they receive a Mission Brief to help them get started!
