You might have noticed the term “eco-anxiety” in the news, through friends and classmates, family and community members, teachers, social media and elsewhere. It’s a word that describes the worry, sadness and fear that many of us feel when we think about climate change, environmental problems, or experience extreme weather like wildfires and floods.

You might also know the term “eco-action” which means actions and activities that contribute to a healthy natural environment. Taking eco-action can help you manage and cope with your feelings of eco-anxiety. However, it’s not always clear how to take eco-action for our environment.

That’s why we created this quiz. You can use the quiz below to understand how eco-anxiety may be impacting you, discover which animal represents your eco-action style and explore some simple, practical ways to take eco-action in your community.

Research by Earth Rangers shows that eco-action can help young people manage and cope with their feelings of eco-anxiety. So why not become an Earth Ranger?
