Mission Objective:

The Carbon Footprint Investigation Mission promotes responsible consumerism by helping kids discover the carbon footprint that’s associated with common household purchases. By investigating what products are made of, how they’re packaged, and where they were made, kids can better understand the environmental impact of the things they buy.

To complete this Mission, kids will…

Read through the Mission Brief to learn how to shrink your carbon footprint.
Investigate the products in their home and complete the quiz to find out how carbon footprint-friendly they are.
Use the “Smart Shopping List and Tips” during their next trip to the store.
Retake the quiz after they finish shopping to see if they’ve improved their score and become smarter shoppers.
