It’s time to get tough on toxins! Your Mission:

Mission Objective:

Some household products that we use every day contain toxic ingredients that can be harmful to the environment. When these products get washed down the drain, the toxins in them can cause damage to aquatic ecosystems and the animals that live there. The goal of the Toxic Takedown Mission is to educate kids about these toxins and teach them how they can help prevent these substances from reaching their local waterways.

To complete this Mission, kids will…

  • Read through the Mission Brief to learn about toxins and the ways they can harm the environment.
  • Channel their inner scientist to make eco-friendly products.
  • Try to choose products that are environmentally friendly the next time they go to the store.

Mission Items:

When members accept this Mission, they receive a Mission Brief and instructions to make their own plastic, cleaners and bath bombs.

What Kids Think:

“I used non-toxic paint to paint my eco-friendly plastic toys." Earth Ranger Marshall " I made bath bombs because I don’t want to put poison in the lake. It could kill the creatures." Earth Ranger Aayla "I liked this Mission because I love science!" Earth Ranger Alicia
