When rescuers found Spike, he was too injured to be released back into the wild. That’s when the team from Fontenelle Forest stepped in to save the day! Now he’s living his best life at the Raptor Woodland Refuge, and he has something special to show us…but who’s brave enough to go near those sharp talons? Raptors are really awesome birds. They’ve got sharp talons, curved beaks, and amazing eyesight. They’re basically the perfect hunters – well, unless they get injured or sick. If that happens, they’re in big trouble. Thankfully, the bird-saving heroes at Fontenelle Forest are ready to swoop in and save the day!
At Fontenelle Forest, you’ll find the Raptors Woodland Rescue, the perfect forever home for raptors that are too weak, sick, or injured to return to the wild. Here, raptors live out their days with care and comfort from the bird experts on staff. They also participate in outreach programs, so local kids can learn all about what makes these gorgeous birds such a key part of the ecosystem.
Taking care of injured birds is no easy task, and educating the public about them is incredibly important work. Because of that, we’d like to give a huge congrats to our friends at Fontenelle Forest and a big thank you for giving these injured raptors a home!
