Being “ready for anything” doesn’t mean being scared: it means being prepared. When you know what to do before an emergency happens, you can stay safer, help others, and protect the things you care about most (including wildlife and the planet).
In this Mission, you’ll learn how to build your own emergency kit, create a family emergency plan, and discover simple steps you can take to prepare for things like power outages, big storms, or extreme heat.
What’s an emergency kit?
It’s a collection of important items you might need if you have to stay home for a while or leave quickly. It’s filled with things like water, snacks, a flashlight, a whistle, and a first-aid kit. Having one ready ahead of time can make a big difference.
Why it matters for nature, too:
Emergencies don’t just affect people. They can damage habitats and put animals at risk. When communities are prepared, they can respond faster and reduce harm to the environment.
