WOODBRIDGE, ON — Earth Rangers is proud to announce that it received the award for Best YouTube Channel in the Kids Digital category at the 17th annual Kidscreen Awards, held during Kidscreen Summit 2026 in San Diego.
Established in 2000, Kidscreen Summit has grown into the world’s leading conference on the business of kids entertainment. Hosting more than 1,600 attendees from over 50 countries each year, the summit brings together top decision-makers and industry leaders to connect, collaborate, and drive the future of children’s media.
The Kidscreen Awards celebrate excellence in children’s television and digital media, recognizing outstanding content that entertains and inspires young audiences worldwide. Now in its 17th year, the awards program receives more than 500 entries annually across 50+ categories.
This marks Earth Rangers’ first Kidscreen Award nomination and win, a significant milestone for our growing digital presence and kids content library. The award recognizes the impact and creativity of the Earth Rangers YouTube channel, and its success in educating, entertaining, and empowering the next generation of conservation leaders.

“About 18 months ago, we made a pretty big decision. We chose to reallocate the majority of our marketing budget and take a risk: instead of spending primarily to promote our programs, we would invest in creating high-quality content for kids. Content that would inspire children to become Earth Rangers, but that would also stand on its own as meaningful, educational, and genuinely engaging storytelling.
Last March, we launched the Animal Saving Heroes series on the Earth Rangers YouTube channel. Prior to that, we were averaging under 100,000 monthly views. Today, less than a year later, we are averaging over 11 million monthly views and growing fast.
What makes being recognized by the industry with this incredible honor especially meaningful is how this content came to life. We have had the privilege of working alongside conservation and wildlife rescue organizations around the world to tell their stories in a way that is authentic, inspiring, educational, and fun. These are real heroes doing real work, and helping kids see that they, too, can be part of protecting animals and the planet.
Seeing this content resonate so strongly with children has been the most rewarding part of all. The award is validation, but the real impact is in the millions of moments where a child feels hopeful, empowered, and ready to take action — everything that being an Earth Ranger represents.”
