Charlie couldn’t survive in the wild after his claws were removed. That’s why the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary team stepped up. Getting him to his new home wasn’t easy. They needed to move a fully-grown cougar from California all the way to Florida. Thankfully, the team was up for the challenge, but would this feisty feline feel comfortable in his new surroundings? And when would that other cougar share his toys? Wait…was that a needle?! Uh oh…
Special thanks to our friends at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter, Florida. Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a nonprofit that runs completely on donations to keep their doors open.
Busch Wildlife Sanctuary

The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary has been saving animals in Florida for decades. Since 1983, the kind folks at the Sanctuary have been taking in injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife…and boy, have they been busy! In an average year, they help thousands of animal patients rest, recover, and, in most cases, return to the wild where they belong.
Along with saving lives, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary prides itself on educating the public about conservation. Guess what? Like Earth Rangers, they have animal ambassadors that help to teach people about protecting and preserving wildlife and nature!
We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ for saving animals and the environment, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary!
