Fewer Than 30 Wild Marmots Left Until Heroes Arrived

The marmots living on Vancouver Island are incredible whistlers—but they’re also in big trouble, because they’re one of the most endangered mammals on Earth. Not long ago, there were fewer than 30 of these rare ground squirrels left in the entire world! Luckily, a team of animal scientists have a plan to save them using special nest boxes—and a helicopter! Will their plan work… or will these musical mountain dwellers disappear forever?
