Meet Our 2026 Battery Blitz Champion
A huge congratulations to our grand prize winner, Earth Ranger Zélia from Québec, who collected an incredible 236 batteries! That’s an amazing achievement and a huge win for the environment.
By taking the time to collect and recycle so many batteries (almost 75,000, to be exact!), you’ve helped keep harmful materials out of landfills and protected wildlife habitats. That’s what being an Earth Ranger is all about!
The impact didn’t stop there! From coast to coast, Earth Rangers stepped up to take action and the results speak for themselves. We also had outstanding prize winners from almost every province, each going above and beyond to make a difference in their communities. Check out some of their photos below!
The Big Impact
Together, Earth Rangers across Canada collected a total of 74,686 batteries during the 2026 Battery Blitz Contest!
That’s THOUSANDS of batteries that will now be safely recycled instead of ending up in landfills, where they can leak harmful chemicals into the soil and water. Every single battery recycled helps protect animals, plants, and ecosystems.
