Aspen Valley Wildlife and The Wildcat Sanctuary
When some animals are in trouble, they need specialized care from many experts. That’s what happened when Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and The Wildcat Sanctuary teamed up to save a lioness.
Aspen Valley is a safe haven for sick or injured wild animals in Ontario. Their goal is to rehabilitate animals and return them to the wild. They were able to use their skills to help a little lioness in need…but when she got bigger? She needed to be with other cats.
That’s where the Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota stepped in. When a cat arrives at the Sanctuary, they live in a safe space, receive enrichment to keep their instincts strong, and get care from a team of feline experts. Just what the lioness needed to thrive!
