By safely collecting and recycling dead batteries, you can make sure they don't end up in landfills, where they can be harmful to the environment (and the animals we love). Battery recycling is easy – and fun! Here's what you need to do to become a Recycling Rockstar and WIN!

Safely collect dead batteries to be recycled
Find a non-metal container (like a cardboard box, glass jar or plastic peanut butter container) to store your dead batteries in. Don't forget to tape the ends with electrical tape or duct tape before you store them!
Wanna get creative with your collection box? Try your hand at crafting a Terrific Tiger or check out how some of our past contest winners have stored their batteries in style!
Safety tip! Be careful not to leave any metal or other debris in the container
