Mission Objective:

With the ever-increasing threat of climate change, saving electricity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is more important than ever. In the Flip the Switch Mission, kids are asked to take action by switching from incandescent to energy-efficient light bulbs. They will learn about the importance of conserving energy and find out how their actions at home can help slow climate change.

To complete this Mission, kids will…

• Read through the Mission Brief to learn about the different types of energy-efficient light bulbs and find out how they can help save energy.
• Replace incandescent light bulbs with energy-efficient bulbs at home.
• Report back on how many light bulbs they’ve replaced.
