Be a Habitat Hero for animals in your neighbourhood! Your Mission:

Mission Objective:

The things we do to our environment, like building houses and roads, has changed and eliminated habitat for the wild animals in our neighbourhoods. The Habitat Hero Mission encourages kids to create places for animals to sleep, feed, and nest in their own backyards through activities like digging a toad house and making a bird bath.

To complete this Mission, kids will…

  • Read through the Mission Brief to learn how they can help animals in their neighbourhood.
  • Select one or more mini habitats from the Mission Brief to build.
  • Set up their mini habitat outside.
  • Keep an eye on their mini habitat to see which animals use it.

Mission Items:

When members accept this Mission, they receive a Mission Brief, habitat building instructions and mini sign cutouts to place beside their habitats.
