Calling all young nature photographers!
Earth Rangers and Canon Canada are inviting kids across Canada to head outdoors and show us nature through their eyes in the new Capture the Wild Photography Contest.
From busy bees and curious squirrels to towering trees and colourful sunsets, nature is full of incredible moments just waiting to be discovered. This summer, kids are encouraged to explore nearby natural spaces and capture a photo that reflects what they love most about the natural world.
To enter, participants simply need to take a photo in nature and share a short description explaining why they chose it, what makes it meaningful to them, and how it represents their connection to (and love for) nature.
Three winners will each receive a Canon prize package, including a Canon Rebel R100 camera and a framed piece of their winning photo using Canon’s Frame Lab print and framing service.
The contest is designed to inspire kids to get outside, slow down, and connect with nature in a meaningful way. Nature can be found almost anywhere, from backyards and neighbourhood parks to local trails, ponds, and greenspaces, and entrants are encouraged to get creative as they show off their love for nature through their unique lens.
Entries will be judged equally on photo quality and the story behind the image, giving kids the chance to showcase both their creativity and their connection to nature. Visit the contest webpage to learn more!
